FIFA is looking recruit 120 children and 32 chaperones to be a part of the Youth Programme for the upcoming FIFA Women's World 2023 Cup Play-Off Tournament at Waikato Stadium.

With the excitement of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Draw behind us, we now look ahead to the Play-Off Tournament in February 2023 when we welcome 10 countries to New Zealand to play off for the final three positions in the draw.

Clubs have the opportunity to nominate up to five of their members, with a minimum of two of those five being females, to be involved as Flag Bearers in the Play-Off Tournament being held at Waikato Stadium between 17-23 February 2023. Flag Bearers are required for National flags and FIFA flags.

Below are the criteria that each participant must meet:

  • Flag Bearers must be aged between 12-17 years as at 17th February 2023.
  • Must be available for three of the six matches being played in the Play-Off Tournament and one of those dates must be Thursday 23rd February 2023.
  • Available to be on site for up to 5 hours prior to kick-off.
  • Be available even if it is a school day (absence letters can be provided to schools).
  • Rehearsals are likely to be held in Hamilton during mid-late January and early February to determine the final selection of Flag Bearers.

Nominations have to be in before the end of the week (25th November), get in touch with one of the committee and we'll coordinate it.
